Charles Edgar “Charlie” Evans, 84, of Holden, WV, went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2026, leaving from Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV, after a short illness.

He was born on March 29, 1941, the son of the late Orville F. Evans and Leilah Vance Evans Allman of Holden, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Evans Maynard; niece, Leilah Newsome; stepmother, Ernistine Evans; and stepfather, Clyde Allman.

Charlie was a member of the 21 Holden Memorial Freewill Baptist Church at Holden, WV, for more than 60 years. He was a very dedicated and devoted servant for his Lord and Savior, actively serving his community and neighbors for most of his life.

He is survived by a niece, Wanda Darlene Watson of Huntington, WV, along with a host of friends and loved ones.

Charlie will be lovingly laid to rest beside his mother at the Vance Family Cemetery at Holden, WV. There will be a memorial service for Charlie at the 21 Holden Memorial Freewill Baptist Church at a date to be determined.
