Charles Edward Jacobs 43 of Peach Creek, WV died on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.  He was born April 14, 1981, in Charleston, WV.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Priscilla Blevins Frye; maternal grandparents, William and Genieve Blevins; and a special aunt, Nancy Burgess; aunt, Mary Carter; uncles, William Blevins, Jr, Miles Dowdy, Virgil Dowdy, Clarence Dowdy, Charles Dowdy, and Eddie Dowdy. 

Charles was a devoted son whose relationship with his mother was the cornerstone of his life. Her anticipation of his phone calls was a testament to the joy and comfort that his voice brought her. A man of simple pleasures, Charles found joy in the daily conversations with those he loved. He had a unique ability to make everyone he spoke with feel valued and heard.

He is survived by his sister, Genny (Jason Smith) Sheppard; cousins whom were like sisters, Tammy Copeland and Jennifer Prince; nieces, Jessica Kitchen, Mika Sheppard, Kayla Sheppard, Kendra Sheppard, Haley Adkins, and Emily Adkins; nephew, Jason Sheppard II; great-nieces and great nephews, Xavier, Grayson, Lexus, Vivian, Remington, Daxtyn; aunts, Jackie Ditz, Cherry Blevins, Theresa Brown, and Angel Issacs; uncles, James Blevins, Ray Dowdy,  Timmy Blevins, and Lawerence Burgess; several cousins, and a host of family and friends.

Per his request, he will be cremated, and the family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
