Charity Jo Workman, 28, of Chapmanville, WV, entered into rest on Thursday, March 18, 2021, from Tug Valley ARH in South Williamson, KY.
She was born April 10, 1992, at Logan, WV, the biological daughter of the late Mark Workman and Teressa Thompson. She was the adopted daughter of Mark and Regina “Jeanie” Tomblin of Chapmanville, WV.
In addition to her biological parents, she is also preceded in death by her grandparents: Jesse Workman, Edenia Oller, and Wootson Thompson, Jr.; and one aunt, Robin Tomblin.
In addition to her adopted parents, Charity is survived by three children: Bryson Workman, Joseph Ooten, and Leland Ooten; one brother, Mark A. Workman; two sisters: Trista (Johnathan) Lanquist and Jennifer Eskins; her step-siblings: Michael Farris and Christy Farris; her step-mother, Lisa Farris; her grandmother: Joan Thompson; aunts and uncles: Darla (Shane) Stowers, Darren Thompson, Darnell (Linda) Cyfers, and Terry Tomblin; nieces and nephews: Kaci Evans, Jessi Adams, Braden Lanquist, Trey Lanquist, Lydea Vannatter, McKinley Workman, Jase Lanquist, Shaelyn Stowers, Reece Stowers, and Wyatt Hensley; her best friend, Farrah Farmer; her fiancé, Josh Marion. Additionally, Charity also leaves behind a multitude of cousins and extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Chapmanville, WV, with Rev. Jimmy Carter officiating.
Burial will follow in the Workman Family Cemetery at Saunders Fork, Chapmanville, WV. Pallbearers will be: Brandon Workman, Michael Farris, Mark Workman, Braden Lanquist, Trey Lanquist, Reece Stowers, and Johnathan Lanquist. Honorary pallbearer will be Jase Lanquist.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
