Cathy Lynn Frye Pridemore

Cathy Lynn Frye Pridemore, 59, of Chapmanville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on September 22, 2021, leaving from her parents’ home.

Born March 28, 1962, at Hamlin, WV, she was the daughter of Claude and Wanda Wiley Frye of Stollings, WV.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Green and Lucy Wiley; her paternal grandparents, Woody and Ada Frye; one niece, Morgan Grace Frye; and her father-in-law, Evan Ray Pridemore, Sr.

Cathy graduated from Harts High School and was a homemaker. She loved her precious fur babies, Butler and Lady. She also had a huge love for her family and friends, especially the Lord. Cathy attended the Crawley Creek Church of God. She retired from Workman’s IGA. A very caring person, Cathy had a big heart and she loved people, especially her friends and family. She also loved to cook and have get-togethers. Cathy will be missed by so many.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ray Pridemore, Jr., of Chapmanville, WV; two brothers, Darrell (Nancy) Frye of Garrett Fork, WV, and Darby Frye of Man, WV; two sisters, Sharlene (Seth) Curnutte of Chapmanville, WV, and Peggy Farley of Logan, WV; her step-sons, Calvin Pridemore and Kevin Pridemore both of Chapmanville, WV; nephews and nieces, Justin Tester of Chapmanville, WV, Dillan Frye of North Carolina, Austin Frye of Chapmanville, WV, and Macie Frye of Man, WV; great-nieces, Jozie and Sophie Stevens and Haislee Frye all of Chapmanville, WV. Additionally, Cathy also leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

To honor her wishes, Cathy’s remains have been cremated, and there will be no services.
