Carol Lee McGraw, 83, of Pecks Mill, WV, departed this life on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, WV.

She was born February 23, 1942, at Earling, WV, a daughter of the late Raymond and Phyllis Elliott.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Scottie McGraw; her daughter, Mary Collins; one grandson, Solomon Isaiah Collins; and one sister, Frances Browning.

Carol worked for the Logan County Board of Education as a secretary. In her spare time, she enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, watching the Game Show Network, and playing games on her iPad. A family-oriented woman, Carol was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and she loved visits from her grandchildren.  

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Jim Paul (Sandy) McGraw; five grandchildren, Corey (Haleigh) McGraw, Tanner McGraw, Hayla McGraw, Miracle Collins, and Canaan Collins; her son-in-law, Van Collins; and two brothers, Robert (Phyllis) Elliott and Jonas Elliott. Additionally, Carol leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

The McGraw family would like to give a special thanks and recognition to Reagen Quick at Logan Regional Medical Center for the compassionate care she showed to Carol.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV, with her brother, Rev. Jonas Elliott, and her son-in-law, Rev. Van Collins officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV. Pallbearers will be Corey McGraw, Tanner McGraw, Jamie McGraw, Dawson McGraw, Lake McGraw, and Van Collins. Honorary pallbearer will be Canaan Collins.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
