Carol Jean McCloud Thomas, 80, of Chapmanville, WV, died March 13, 2021, at her home.
Born November 5, 1940, in Logan, WV, she was a daughter of the late Golden and Lola McCloud of Verdunville, WV.
Carol retired from Logan Bank & Trust Company after working there many years as supervisor in the bookkeeping department. She loved reading and listening to music, especially Elvis Presley, who was one of her favorites. She enjoyed a close relationship with her children and grandchildren and loved them dearly, along with her precious, constant companion, Cujo, who was always by her side.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Thomas, who passed away 18 years ago. They met while working together at GC Murphy (the dime store) in Logan. Together, they ran a local TV cable company for many years. Also preceding her in death are three brothers: Donald McCloud, Delbert McCloud, and Denver McCloud.
Carol is survived by two daughters: Robin (David) Young and Kim (Eric) Semrau; one son, Rickey Thomas; her beloved grandchildren: Sydney Semrau and Zane Thomas; two sisters: Jan (Dwight) Williamson and Loretta Burgett; one brother, Dennis McCloud; several nieces and nephews, and her caregiver and friend, Kathy Spry.

Private family graveside services will be held at Highland Memory Gardens with Harry Dingess officiating.
