Carlene “Sarah” Baisden, 86, of Ferrellsburg, entered into Heaven with a glorified and pain-free body on Sunday, May 23, 2021. Sarah was born June 17, 1934, the daughter of the late Albert and Ethel Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Brumfield; her brothers Ed and Bill; son Ronnie Baisden; sisters-in-law, Ima Jean Roberts, Jean Roberts, Sandra Winters, Norma Daly, and Mary Howe; her brothers-in-law, Vilas Adams, Millard Baisden, Harry “Butch” Winters, Al Daly, Orlis Howe, and Jack Withiel, and nephews Marty Adams, Zeke Dingess, and Mike McDonough.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Jack; their special daughters, Lynne McDonough and Kim Folliett; her sister, Margelene Adams; her special friend, Joyce Blair; sisters-in-law, Louise (Bill) Sutherland and Sadie Withiel; her brothers-in-law, Charles (Pam), Cary Jr. “June” (Jeanette), and Bruce (Donna). Also, her nieces and nephews: Pam, Debbie, Sandy, Larry Douglas, Connie, Willard, Frances, Linda, Ethel, Rodney, Billy, Shirley, Doris, Julie, Tony, Chuck, Roger, Cary, Billy, Steven, Randy, Marc, Brian, David, Teri, Cary Eugene, Kim, Doug, Brent, Michelle, Joey, and many other family and friends.
Sarah was always praising her Savior and had the sweetest prayers. She enjoyed listening to and watching Christian and country concerts on TV, and having her family around her. Sarah loved being “Nanny” to all of the kids in her family. She was a member of Mt. Era United Baptist church.
Jack would like to thank everyone for the calls and visits during this time. He would also like to thank LRMC ER staff, LCOC and Sarah’s caregivers over the years, as well as Pastor Donnie Wells and Kathy, and Pastor Norman Adams.
Services will be held at 11am on Friday, May 28th, at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Chapmanville, WV, with Pastor Donnie Wells and Pastor Norman Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Jack Baisden Cemetery at Buck Fork. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
