Carl Dennie Vickers

Carl Dennie Vickers, 76, of Ridgeview, WV, departed this life on Friday, November 18, 2022, at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV.

Born June 29, 1946, at Gordon, WV, the son of the late Leonard Carl and Sylvia Yeager Vickers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois and Elwanda; one brother, Leslie Vickers; and one brother-in-law, Jimmy Adkins.

Carl was a coal miner for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed ginsenging and fishing. Carl will long be remembered for being a good neighbor and a great father to his sons, whom he loved dearly.

Carl is survived by his two sons, Andrew Carl Vickers of Uneeda, WV, and Matthew David (Laverne) Vickers of Huntington, WV; four sisters, Patsy Adkins of Drawdy, WV, Mary Janet Cooper of Lincoln County, WV, Vivian (Roger) Hicks of Uneeda, WV, and Jeannette Vickers of Madison, WV; three brothers, Leroy (Patsy) Vickers of Hewett Creek, WV, David Allen Vickers of Jeffrey, WV, and Bobby Joe Vickers of Rock Creek, WV; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his former spouse and mother of his children, Patricia Ann of Griffithsville, WV. Additionally, Carl leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.

To honor Carl’s wishes, his remains have been cremated, and there will be no services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.
