Callie Dent

Callie Dent, 78, of Chapmanville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 31, 2021, leaving from her residence.

She was born October 15, 1942, in Lincoln County, WV, the daughter of the late Charlie Davis and Elizabeth Smith Davis.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Dent.

Ms. Dent was a retired secretary from the Logan County Board of Education. A member of the Chapman Memorial Church, she enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Kim (Jim) Baisden and Susie Gore; her grandchildren: Autumn Baisden, Ryder Gore, Dylan Gore, and Izaiah Gore; and one sister, Frankie (Lucian) Thompson. Callie also leaves behind her church family along with a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at the Davis Cemetery at Harts, WV, with Rev. Kit Meade and Rev. Joe Triplett officiating. Following the services, she will be lovingly laid to rest beside her husband.

The Dent Family would like to extend a special thanks of appreciation to Dignity Hospice and Home Health of Chapmanville for the care they provided.
