Burnis Toler, 75, of Justice, WV, departed this life on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center at Pikeville, KY.
He was born February 2, 1949, in Mingo County, WV, a son of the late Courtney James Toler and Allie Marie Walker Toler
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Toler and Otis Toler; two sisters, Judy Stacy and Susie Lilly; and two brothers-in-law, Garry Walls and Ronnie Lilly.
Burnis was a United States Veteran who proudly served his country with honor. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt and fish. He also had a passion for cooking. Burnis will fondly be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his country, his love for the great outdoors, and his generosity to those he loved.
Those left to cherish his memory are one brother, David "Tobar" (Abby) Toler of Hanover, WV; two sisters, Illene Walls of Justice, WV, and Patsy (Kenneth) Morgan of Hanover, WV; a very special niece, Sissy Brewer; and his special friends and hunting buddies, Irvan Cline, Durrany Walls, Kevin Toler, and Bo Brewer. Additionally, Burnis leaves behind many nieces and nephews along with a host of extended family and friends.
To honor his wishes, Burnis will be cremated, and there will be no services.
