Burl Adkins Obituary

Burl Lee Adkins, 75, of Switzer, WV, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020, at St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, WV. He was born on May 14, 1945, in Logan, WV, the son of the late Donna Jean Talip and Audie Adkins.

He served his country in the United States Air Force and worked as an electrician in the coal mines for many years.

In addition to his parents, Burl was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Louise, and his step-father, Isom Talip.

He is survived by his wife, Annemarie Adkins of Switzer, WV; his daughter, Suzanne Marie Adkins of Lompoc, California; one brother, Eddie Talip (Joy) of Switzer, WV; sisters: Marie Kiser (Gail) of Bristol, VA, and Shanda Spears (Paul) of Chapmanville, WV; one nephew, Dr. David Spears (Jessica) of Marietta, OH; one niece, Rachael Talip and one great-niece, Ally Tomblin both of Switzer.

At Burl’s request, he was cremated. There will be no services.
