Obituary
Brian David Runyon of Conway, South Carolina, died unexpectedly at his home on the morning of April 6, 2023, from a cardiac event. His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.
Brian was born in Logan, WV, on October 26,1976, to Carl "David" Runyon and the late Sherrill "Susie" Counts Johnson.
Brian was an Eagle Scout, a 1994 graduate of Logan High School, and he went on to attend his beloved West Virginia University, of which he was a massive fan and supporter.
In addition to his mother, Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Margaret Ann Counts, and his paternal grandmother, Janet Runyon.
Brian is survived by his wife, Connie Royer-Runyon; his children, Tyler David Runyon, Mackenzie, Jacob, and Olivia Finkle, and Thomas Franklin; his father, David Runyon; grandfather, Carl Runyon; sisters, Kerri, Carly and Mackenzie Runyon; aunts, Kim Jones, Lee Ann Rand and Steff Counts; nephew, Caiden Runyon; and stepmother, Cathy Runyon.
Brian had an immense love for his family and friends, and he will be greatly missed.
A public memorial service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum at Chapmanville, WV, with Brett Phipps and Richard L. Marsh officiating.
