Brenda Sue Carpenter

Brenda Sue Carpenter 68 of Crooked Creek, WV passed away peacefully and went to be with Jesus Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born April 22, 1952 in Logan, WV, the daughter of the late Roscoe and Goldie Smith Carpenter.

Brenda retired after 45 years with the Logan County Board of Education where she was employed as a teacher’s aide working diligently with special needs children.  She was a member of Word of Life Church at Logan, WV. Brenda was a loving and kind person to all who knew her, especially her family who she always cared for and made sure all their needs had been met.  Her family could never express in words the great care she gave her father and mother until they passed away. Brenda loved decorating for holidays and taking care of her home.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Brother: Dean Carpenter; Niece: Toni Justice; and Great-Nephew: Jerrod Whitman.

She is survived by her Siblings: Shelby (David) Whitman; Marshall Carpenter; Barbara (Eugene) Russell; and Linda (Paul) McCoy; Special Nieces: Ashlee (Jason) Blankenship; Stacee (Troy) Stanley; and many other precious nieces and nephews; Cousin and Best Friend: Glenna Pennington; along with a host of family, church family, and friends.

Private Services will be held at Word of Life Church in Logan, WV with Pastor Josh Vanhook and Mike Manuel officiating.  Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby, WV.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Pastor Josh Vanhook and his wife Conswella, along with everyone who has sent condolences, and been praying for Brenda and her family.

Due to extenuating circumstance a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
