Brandon Lee Hurley, 40, of Davin, WV, departed this life on Sunday, June 29, 2025.

He was born January 23, 1985, at Logan, WV, a son of Debra Lynn Hurley Facemire of Davin, WV, and the late Billy Ray Hurley.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Ray “Bub” Hurley, II; one nephew, Billy Ray “Tre” Hurley, III; his stepfather, Ken Facemire; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Mildred Aldridge; and his paternal grandparents, George Hurley and Maxine and Elba Taylor.

For several years, Brandon was employed with White Armature Works, where he applied his skills in motor repair. His career later led him to Superior Pocahontas Construction Company, where he worked as a flagger. Brandon was a true history buff. He had a passion for learning about historical events and figures, often engaging in lively discussions about his latest findings. He also enjoyed a good conspiracy theory and never missed an opportunity to voice it with others. His creative spirit was exhibited through his woodworking and drawing. He created beautiful pieces of art and functional items with the same precision and care that he applied to his work. Brandon’s passion for history, his skill in his trade, and his creative pursuits will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother, include one sister, Becky (Jason) Mullins of Davin, WV; one brother, Garrett Hurley of Davin, WV; two nieces, Baylee Hurley and Alyssa Griffin; three nephews, Gage (Lexi) Mullins, Caden Mullins, and Brody Mullins; two great-nieces, Chloe Mullins and Arabella Mullins; and his former wife, Andrea Browning. Additionally, Brandon leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

In honoring Brandon’s wishes, his remains will be cremated, and there will be no services.
