Bobby Ray Dalton, 63, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at his residence.

He was born August 30, 1959, at Chapmanville, a son of the late Hillard and Theoria Hensley Dalton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Larry Dalton, Darrell Dalton, Matthew Dalton, Terry Dalton, Pete Dalton, and Jessie “Boo” Dalton.

Bobby worked as a logger for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to ginseng, hunt, and fish. He was affectionately considered a “mountain man” for his love of the outdoors and nature.

Those left to cherish his memory are three brothers, Willard Dalton and Lucian Dalton both of Chapmanville, WV, and Teddy (Malinda) Dalton of Madison, WV; one sister-in-law, Christie Dalton of Chapmanville, WV; his nieces and nephews, Blake (Malloree) Dalton, Andrew Dalton, Victoria Phillips, and Hillarie Dalton; and one special friend, Darrell Conley. Additionally, Bobby leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

To honor Bobby’s wishes, his remains will be cremated, and there will be no services.
