Barbara Lee Richards, 85, of Logan, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2025, leaving from Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown, WV.

She was born June 20, 1940, at Stollings, WV, the only daughter of Roscoe and Maude Browning Long.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Obie Edward Cox, Sr.; her second husband, Wilburn Elam Richards; one stepdaughter, Claudia Workman; and one stepson-in-law, Ernie Workman.

Barbara spent her professional life dedicated to the art of housekeeping, providing her meticulous services to numerous families and businesses. She was an active and devoted member of the Coal Branch Church of God. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, and she loved going to church and attending singing conventions. A personal passion of Barbara's was exploring flea markets, where she found delight in the simple pleasure of discovering hidden treasures. Barbara’s legacy is one of service, unwavering faith, and the joy she found in the everyday moments.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Obie Cox and his companion, Jeannie Endicott; one stepson, Doug Richards; one stepdaughter, Judith (Jeff) Shabram; one grandson, Ty Cox; 5 step-grandchildren, and numerous step-great-grandchildren. Additionally, Barbara leaves behind a host of cousins, extended family members, and friends.

To honor Barbara’s wishes, her remains will be cremated, and a graveside service will be held in the summer at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV.
