Anthony Manuel Ball, 38, of Lake, WV, was born on January 3, 1984, in Logan, WV, to Richard L. Ball, II, and the late Deana M. Simms. He departed this life of Friday, August 5, 2022, at Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, WV.
Growing up, Anthony was very enthusiastic about motocross. He spent the majority of his childhood racing with his two brothers along the East Coast and placed 4th in the United States Mega Series. Anthony was a 2002 graduate of Scott High School. He then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served for four years in which he completed a tour in Fallujah during the Iraqi War.
Preceding him in death are his mother, Deana Simms; one uncle, Leslie Hal Ball; his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Gloria Simms; and his paternal great-grandparents, Clifford and Maisel Ball.
Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Richard; his step-mother, Carrie Ball who helped raise him from the age of three years; his grandparents, Minda and Richard “Dick” Williams and Leon and Marlene Ball; his siblings, Crystal Green Maynard, Clifford (Julia) Ball, Tiffany (Anthony) Alfarone, Kristofer (Chelsea) Ball, and Brittany King; two sons whom he loved very much, Tanner Ball and Landon Ball; along with a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
