Anita Carol Farley, 83, of Chapmanville, WV, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at her residence.

She was born on June 28, 1942, at Logan, WV, to the late Leslie Gore.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Shorty” Farley.

Anita was a homemaker. She loved cooking and watching Martha Stewart’s cooking show where she received inspiration for many of her delicious meals. Anita's zest for life extended beyond the kitchen. She loved trips to the beach and vacationing with her family. Family was the cornerstone of her world, and her commitment to her loved ones was unwavering. She also cherished her loyal and beloved canine companions, Bella and Roxy.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Scooter (Maria) Farley; four grandchildren, Amanda Farley, Greg “Scotter” (Jaycee) Farley, Brandon (Jessica) Farley, and Brianna Farley (Chris Wells); 10 great-grandchildren, Cameron, Carl, Collin, Gemma, Greyson, Axel, Baylor, Leia, Creed, and Sage. Additionally, Anita leaves behind a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 9, 2026, at Evans Funeral Home & Cremation Services at Chapmanville, WV.

Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill, WV, where she will be lovingly laid to rest beside her husband, Shorty. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
