Althea Ernestine "Poncho" Egnor

Althea Ernestine “Poncho” Egnor, 82, of Chapmanville, WV, departed this life Monday, April 24, 2023, at her residence.

Born June 28, 1940, at Buffalo Creek, WV, she was the daughter of the late Billy and Stella Adkins Spurlock.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Egnor; one son, Terry Egnor; and two brothers, Clifford Spurlock and Billy Spurlock.

Althea was a homemaker who kept her house immaculate, and she was also a perfectionist about yardwork. She enjoyed shopping and cherished the time she spent with her family. She was affectionately known as “Poncho” to many, and she will be dearly missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Those left to cherish her memory are one son, Michael (Cathy Moore) Egnor; one daughter, Cynthia Egnor; three grandchildren, Terry Egnor, Nicole (Robert) Stone, and Mackenzie Moran; and four great-grandchildren, Cameron Egnor, Alexa Egnor, Rylee Allen, and Adriana Stone. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of many other dear relatives and friends.

Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Forest Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum at Pecks Mill, WV, with Rev. Harley Egnor, Jr., officiating.

Entombment will follow immediately after the services. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
